THREE-YEAR DIPLOMA IN ANIMATION, VFX, FILMMAKING & GENERATIVE AI

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Teaching, learning and assessment processes have been developed to ensure that students experience a variety of methods of learning and assessment. The Visual Effects Course is a combination of lectures and tutorials and assessments are through individual assignments, group assignments, workshops, presentations, and formal examination. Group discussion forms the key part of our teaching. As a part of the VFX and animation course curriculum, we give our students various creative designs inputs; ask them to analyze the concepts and trigger the creative juice to flow by engaging them in innovative activities. Over six semesters, students build one continuous 3D pipeline - modelling, texturing, rigging, animation, lighting, rendering and compositing - alongside filmmaking, editing, sound and real-time production in Unreal Engine, with Generative AI introduced in every semester as a supervised production tool.

Eligibility Criteria

Students who have passed 10th or 12th from a recognized board can apply for the Three-Year Diploma in Animation, VFX, Filmmaking & Generative AI.

GENERATIVE AI & RESPONSIBLE USE

Generative AI is taught in every semester as a production tool, not a replacement for core skills: concept and reference generation in Semester I, texture and design exploration in Semester II, previsualisation in Semester III, pre-production support in Semester IV and AI-assisted VFX clean-up in Semester V. Alongside the tools, students learn responsible use: checking licence terms, respecting copyright, crediting sources and disclosing AI-assisted work in their portfolios and client projects.
