Diploma in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence

Three years of building things that work — from your first line of Python to models running in production. In the final year you apply it where IIFA already teaches: game, film, interiors, animation and fashion.

  • 3Years, six semesters, full-time on campus
  • 36Subjects, ending on a live industry internship
  • 20+Languages, libraries and platforms taught hands-on
  • 600+Students placed across all IIFA programmes
Programme overview

Data is only useful once someone can act on it

Data science is the work of turning raw, messy records into an answer someone can decide on — collecting it, cleaning it, modelling it, and presenting it so the result is understood by people who will never read the code.

The diploma runs that whole chain. You start with Python, statistics and SQL, move through machine learning and deep learning, and finish by putting a model somewhere it can actually be used — behind an API, in a dashboard, or inside a production pipeline.

What makes this course different is the last year. IIFA is a design and media college, so instead of ending on generic business case studies, semesters V and VI put artificial intelligence to work in the studios next door: agent behaviour for game design, computer vision for animation and VFX, generative layout for interiors, trend forecasting for fashion, and edit assistance for film. You leave with a portfolio, not just a transcript.

Curriculum

Six semesters, thirty-six subjects

Thirty-six subjects, coded DSA 101 to DSA 606. The first two years build computing, mathematics, statistics and data systems; the third applies them to IIFA studio briefs, an eight-week internship and a major project. Roughly 40% theory to 60% practical and studio work.
