Journalism is an ideal field for individuals who are interested in finding, analyzing, writing and
reporting a story in the form of words. IIFA’s Bachelors degree in journalism prepares students with
practical and marketable skills to work on challenging projects and thereby to get a strong sense of
achievement. BA in Journalism is a Four years degree programme and it’s affiliated to Bangalore University.
The industry based curriculum greatly helps students to learn about the Nature and scope of journalism,
process and function of communication, print media, Audio visual media, Media laws, News writing and reporting,
Media Management, Advertising & Public relation and etc. Since media and entertainment has a greater scope,
our lecturers motivate every graduate to communicate effectively and help to improve their writing
and editing skills to advance level. Through IIFA’s International Placement Cell, graduates can get into different
departments of journalism such as marketing, technical, editorial, production, VT editors, and few more.

The main aim of journalism is to collect the information and provide it to the larger crowd
via mass communication which includes investigating, analyzing, and reporting the events, latest
trends, current affairs happening all around the world.
Through various workshops, internships, and live projects, IIFA enables students to gain all the
relevant skills like Good communication skills, team cohesiveness, ability to analyze things,
in-depth knowledge about various fields and etc.
On Completing the B.A. (Hons.) in Journalism at IIFA, students can easily get placed in
both print media (newspaper, magazine, journals, tabloids and etc) and electronic media (television,
internet, and radio).
Careers in journalism and mass communication provide high recognition and also the growth in
digital media gives greater job opportunities as journalist, actor, director, editor, screenwriter
and much more.
